Monday is my day off.

It is summer and you would think that I don't have anything to study. But, alas, I have already bought the books for my Fall classes. And I did a little pre-reading this morning in a book written by my soon-to-be professor, Walk Russell, called Playing with Fire. Actually, it just so happens that Dr. Russell will be teaching both of my classes this Fall, which will be the last two classes of my M.A. I've never had him as a professor before. So I hope I like him or else it's going to be a long semester.

The rest of my day has been spent (and I mean spent) doing laundry. Since we are going on vacation next week, I wanted to get a head start on laundry so we'll be ready to pack in a couple of days. I'm also hoping to have the whole place tidy and clean. The problem is I am tuckered out. So between laundry and cleaning our room I figured I'd take a break by blogging. I'm also thirsty, so a glass of iced water may be in order as well. Anyway, I've done 12 loads of laundry today. There's actually a bit more to do--the blankets that we used to wrap and cushion things when we moved. But we'll save that for another time.

Meanwhile, Cristina has been busy too. She cleaned the kitchen when she got home and made dinner. Now she's out shopping for a few things for our trip.

Speaking of our trip, here's a preview of what we plan to do...

• Orca whale watching through the San Juan Islands
• A drive through the Olympic Pennisula to the Hoh Rain Forest.
• A trip to Mt. Rainier to hike through Paradise.
• And, of course, a visit to Seattle's Pike Place, Space Needle, Experience Music Project/Sci-Fi Hall of Fame Museum and the historic Pioneer Square

So it should be a fun trip! There's so much to see you can be assured that photos will be forthcoming! For now I'm getting back to cleaning our room...
