Go see U2 3D!!! Cristina and I went to see it yesterday. Cristina came along willingly but not excitedly. She came because she knew I wanted to see it. She exited the theater a U2 fan! If you haven't seen them in person you must see them in IMAX 3D. If you have seen them in person, you already know you HAVE to see them. It's only $15 versus the horrendous concert prices, and well worth it.
U2 is the conscience of rock. They are the icon of icons. I guarantee this will be better than any other movie you were thinking about seeing.
I found myself saying, "Wow," out loud at least 5 times during the first song. The visuals are amazing. This is the best use of 3D I've ever seen. You truly do enter into the experience. And the sound was absolutely superb. You can hear every syllable of Bono's voice and every nuance of The Edge's guitar.
The emotional current running through the entire film is one moment exhilarating, another heart-wrenching, another rousing, and full of passion, desire, and inspiration throughout.
Go see U2 3D. It's playing locally at the Edwards IMAX in Ontario.
